Gentrification plus tacos in trendy Silver Lake (East of Hollywood) means Tacotrification:

The project, which I am involved in, collarborates with a PHD student King’s College London is about gentrification in Silver Lake, Los Angeles.

In the first term, my group, Michelle, Wenqing, Ferdinand and I, had discussion with Juliet, PHD student about her project.

At the beginning a word of gentrification was unfamiliar to us, but after we did research on gentrification and kept questioning about the factors that actually occur in Silver Lake. Our group tried to refer Juliet’s opinion she claimed but she does not have specific position, which can be either support the original residents or the gentrifying phenomenon. [Mas…]
