Sara: Thank you. What you said means the world to me (I even misted up a little – no joke). This is my sore spot. Growing up ‘pocho’ in the suburbs of LA and OC – I get it, I get it. I have been hounded nearly my entire life for not being Mexican enough (through primary school, through college and even professionally (those MALDEV lawyers have serious complexes). Not being down and brown enough? Don’t go to law school – Mexicans are not lawyers (as a corp lawyer in the US, I make up the 1% of Latino lawyers that are corp lawyers as Mex-Am)! I’ll follow you on twitter – I love Lalo A and I think you are the best.

Sara, como siempre, you always hit the nail on the head. I remember during the years of the Chicano Movement, there were those who would pin 11 movement buttons across their chest to show how much more Chicano they were than the next guy.

Sara,
People feel like they need to do this to establish rapport, but you are toally correct, let’s get past it, and talk about what we are doing NOW to help get the Gente on a positive path towards economic and social empowerment – as you say, that is what matters, not if you can make tortillas de harina, from scratch! I say buy the ones from Trader Joes, those things are off the chain!!!

Keep this great work up, i love it!!
