Ex Mex President Fox eats truck tacos, beats Trump piñata (video)

Mexican President Vicente Fox beat a Donald Trump piñata after eating at a taco truck last week in Los Angeles. “Tacos will make America great,” Fox said.

Business Insider has the story:

During an appearance on El Show de Piolín in Los Angeles, former Mexican President Vicente Fox found a new way to demonstrate his often-stated criticisms of Donald Trump: Beating a piñata of the Republican presidential candidate.

In Puebla, MX, narco cartel killers crush French gangsters

pueblacartel640(PNS reporting from PUEBLA, MX) Federales have finished cleaning up the streets of this southeastern city after a three-day battle between area gangsters and a French gang left 83 locals and 462 gabachos dead, PNS has learned.

The  Marseilles gang (“La Eme”) — sent to collect a drug debt allegedly owed by the Puebla-based Ignacio Zaragosa clika (the “Zetas”) — was overwhelmed by the fierce Mexican gangbangers.

Faulty HUMINT (human intelligence) was also a factor.

Based on bogus tips from informants who called themselves “los mentirosos,” which La Eme interpreted as “mentors,” the frogs engaged the enemy at noon. La Eme expected the Zeta sentries to be taking siestas with their sombreros pulled so low they couldn’t see the advancing gunmen. And the close-by burros? The French plan relied on the overhwhelming odor of naturally estanky donkeys to mask the telltale scent of French breath-de-fromage.

But the Zetas were not asleep and those weren’t your mother’s burritos.

Latino USA: Trump is good for business – the piñata business (audio)

trumppinatas“Jennifer De Benito could have had any piñata she wanted for her 14th birthday party. She chose a piñata of Donald Trump. The three-foot-tall piñatas depict Trump in a business suit with his infamous blonde hair and they’re flying off the shelves on both sides of the U.S.–Mexico border,” writes Samantha Clark.

“It all started last summer when Trump said Mexico was “bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists.”

“Jesús Márquez makes piñatas in Watsonville, a small farming town on the central coast of California. Márquez is from Mexico and says that although Trump’s comments are racist, they have been good for business.”

Maria Hinojosa of NPR’s Latino USA reports:

Montebello lines up to beat Donald Trump piñatas (video)

powertrumpTacos Don Chente in Montebello, CA was juan cool place to hang out Wednesday as Power 106’s morning show host J Cruz raised hell at a Donald Trump piñata-bashing party. And free tacos.

Mexican Independence Celebrations often are more fiesta than political bashes in the United Estates, but this year is different. Cruz and his crew set up a terrific fiesta. Now if we can only get La Raza to vote with their ballots, and not just with their colorful frilly piñata sticks…

Hey! You’re lookin’ for tacos in all the wrong places (photos)

necklaceAs POCHO amigo Gustavo Arellano pointed out in his book Taco USA, America loves tacos.

How much does America love tacos, you ask? Taco imagery is everywhere — jewelry (necklace, above), toys, drinks, desserts, babies, kitties, doggies, purses, rear-view mirrors. And how could we make a listicle without the pink taco? [The pink taco final photograph may be NSFW depending on your work. We don’t think it is, but you never know, tu sabes?]

Kelly Miller’s 35th birthday party in Bondi: To Mexico with love (video)

Kelly Miller lives in Bondi, Australia, a suburb of Sydney, famous for Bondi Beach and “bondi blue,” a Steve Jobs iMac color.

Kelly has never been to Mexico and has no “Mexican heritage,” but she wants to visit. In February, she used Facebook to organize a “Made In Mexico” 35th birthday bash that somehow involved Bob Esponja. How did she do as a Mexican wannabe? (Don’t be hatin’ on her for the piñata mishap after all those jello shots.)
