Turtle Island is a sacred burial sight on the Standing Rock reservation that is occupied by the oil industry and their goons. This hill surrounded by the river is a key piece of land for completing the DAPL project. The Water Protectors won a battle recently but their fight is not over. This New Year let us not forget those brave Protectors who are still out there battling the cold defending their water.

The lyrics include the story of Dale “Happy” American Horse Jr., a Native activist who was busted after chaining himself to a digger machine at the site.
